What happens when you drag a fleet of jet skis out into the swell from a hurricane? Well, you end up seeing some serious acrobatics.

This video gives an incredible first-person view of being shuttled through waves and surf on a jet ski, with the drivers alternatively launching themselves a dozen feet in the air and then having to bail because of the uncertainty of the water.

And the part where they’re gliding through the grass seems almost impossible.

What do you think these Adrenalists did?

While the vast majority of the Eastern seabord was riding out Hurricane Irene, pro kiteboarders Dale Slear and Hunter Stunzi decided to ride her. Check this incredible video of Dale or Hunter — we have no idea who — launching from the surf to the skies above Bald Head Island, North Carolina on August 26, the day the ferocious ‘cane came sweeping ashore. The camera captures wind gusts in the range of 60 mph – forceful enough to uproot trees, peel siding off a house, or as you see here, sling a fearless kiteboarder higher than we’ve ever seen before.
