What do you know about ’70s and ’80s champion high diver Dana Kunze? What do you know about his zinc nose? OK, Kunze isn’t the best-known or most stylish extreme athlete in the world. But he’s one of the most accomplished, and certainly one of the craziest gentlemen to ever dive off the face of the earth.

And what you see above isn’t simply a swan dive or pencil plunge. The 172-foot jump is a reverse triple summersault dive. It’s simply death-defying. The craziest part? One of the judges dares to give him a 7.5.

Earlier this week you saw Olivier Farve make his world record dive, but Kunze manages to swim away on his own.
