Before Matt Gilman gets on his bike, he walks the exact route that he’s going to ride. He has to. Gilman, a bike mechanic and trial rider,  is almost totally blind due to complications from diabetes. “I use a white cane to navigate,” Gilman tells Adventure Journal. “I also can’t see any obstacles that don’t have super contrast to them.” You can’t tell from the video footage. Gilman tackles street features better than 99.999% of the riding public. Check the video above to see what he can do. Go to his website to see plenty more.
