Don’t Just Wear Your Tech

The problem with most head-mounted camera solutions is that no matter how small the recording device you’re working with, it’s still a fragile piece of tech that’s attached to your gear as opposed to being an integrated part of it. Zeal Optics has come up with an elegant solution in its iON Goggles.

The soon-to-be-released ski goggles sports a built-in HD camera that is capable of capturing both 8MP photos and 1080p video with its wide-angle 170-degree lens. It’s powered by a lithium-ion battery that is good for around six hours and all captured material is recorded to a built-in microSD card slot.

The iON Goggles are expected to hit stores later this year with a $399 price tag.
