Darren Berrecloth first found the new sun-baked zone in the Painted Desert near Cameron, Arizona while on a scouting mission through the region.

The never-before-ridden line required a helicopter to place him on the cliff. He made three runs, one of which almost ended in disaster when Darren had to bail off of his bike, which was sent tumbling down the mountainside.
