Make The Mountain Your Slave
Not enough snow to glide smoothly down a Swiss alp? Too steep for safety? No problem. Paraskiing – or ski-gliding or speedflying, as some call it – combines downhill with base jumping in a spine-shuddering, all-season pursuit that puts skiers and base jumpers to shame. Check as this bomber goes nearly upside down over Eiger’s jagged face and rockets over a cliff. He dominates this mountain in the middle of summer, mind you. We’ll need a translator to tell us for sure what he says at the end. A good guess? “This mountain is my slave.”
